Franconian Knieküchle - from the Backöfele to the kitchen house
Our Backöfele has stood for regional ties, tradition and, above all, Franconian coziness in the Würzburg gastronomy scene for almost 5 decades.
We love what we do and we enjoy doing it every day. We work with people for people. Nothing is more beautiful and nothing else is what we want to do. When we are approached by friends with whom we have been associated for years and whose bond with us goes far beyond business, this naturally awakens our creativity and passion.
A few years ago, we invented the "CUBE-ITs" ice cubes for the best wine festival in the region with our CHASE bar, based on a similar constellation.
Now we look forward to your visit to the kitchen house from July 11 - 28, 2024.
Backöfele in the kitchen house
So We are delighted to have found the courage to break out of our cozy Backöfele and try something completely new.
For friends - and for a concept that we love and that we stand behind.
So for 'Wein am Stein', we translate popular dishes from our menu into wine festival-worthy edibles: Knieküchle with a choice of plucked Schäufele, plucked roulade or goat's cheese with pear.
But when the Backöfele goes on a journey, one thing is of course a must. Our caramelized Backöfele-Kaiserschmarrn is also available for the wine festival.
We are very much looking forward to the small Backöfele dependency at the Stein and which of the buildings would be better suited for this than the well-known and traditional kitchen house.
